Bellbird Park is a residential suburb located in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, roughly 14 km east‑southeast of Ipswich CBD and about 29 km southwest of Brisbane CBD. Covering around 6.5 km², it falls under the 4300 postcode area. Originally part of the rural Goodna hinterland, Bellbird Park remained largely undeveloped until the 1970s and was named after the bellbirds once commonly heard near Woogaroo Creek. Development accelerated after the 1974 floods and particularly from the late 1980s as urban expansion from Ipswich and Brisbane progressed. According to the 2021 Census, the suburb has a population of approximately 9,191, attracting mainly young families and first‑home buyers, with a median age of around 31.

The area is known for its family-friendly and community-oriented atmosphere, leafy streets, parks, and open spaces, offering a quieter lifestyle while maintaining convenient access to Ipswich and Brisbane. Bellbird Park hosts several educational facilities, including Kruger State School, Bellbird Park State School, and Bellbird Park State Secondary College, which caters to students from Years 7–12. Residents have access to nearby retail centers such as Redbank Plaza, Town Square Redbank Plains, and Orion Springfield Central, while transport connections via the Ipswich and Centenary Motorways, as well as public transport, make commuting straightforward.

The suburb also features multiple parks and recreational areas for families and outdoor activities. Real estate in Bellbird Park has experienced steady growth, with a mix of established homes and new estates, enhanced by ongoing infrastructure developments like schools and transport links. Overall, Bellbird Park is considered a safe, affordable, and family-friendly suburb, ideal for first-time buyers and investors looking for a growing community with green spaces, quality schools, and strong access to nearby cities.
